Girls Advisory Board

The Girls Advisory Board is for GirlVentures alumnae who are interested in taking a leadership role within and beyond GirlVentures.

Each year, members of our Girls Advisory Board lead teams of adult hikers on the Hike for GirlVentures - Mt. Tam Fundraiser, speak at our fundraising events, facilitate a workshop at a youth-led confernce, aid in marketing and outreach efforts, and help with curriculum development.

In 2008, our Girls Advisory Board applied for and was awarded a Youth Funding Youth grant! One alumnae girl serves as an Assistant Instructor for each of our Summer Outdoor Adventure Programs and School-Year courses. The Girls Advisory Board has monthly meetings (September - June) with our Program Manager and a weekend retreat once a year. This volunteer position is part of our Leadership Development Program.
