We are looking for dependable people who are interested in learning more about nonprofit organizations. We have three internships available: Office Intern, Program and Logistics Intern and Social Media Intern (see below).
This position gives interns an opportunity to employ GirlVentures’ mission, methods and values in an office environment. Interns will assist GirlVentures’ staff by working on special projects, office tasks, and providing logistical and program support as needed. The Office Intern position gives interns the opportunity to be involved in GirlVentures’ decision-making process while supporting the career progression of those interested in nonprofits or experiential education. Programs interns support GirlVentures school-year Outdoor Education programs with outreach and logistics. Programs interns gain an invaluable inside-look at the behind-the-scenes effort put into running a non-profit Outdoor Education program. Social Media Intern
The social media intern will work to coordinate GirlVentures’ blog & Facebook posts – including taking and organizing photos at events and programs. The Social Media Intern will also investigate current trends in social media and spearhead GirlVentures’ use of new tools and techniques in order to attract, cultivate and keep an active and loyal community. All positions are 10 – 40 hours/week, flexible schedules available.
A stipend may be available for college interns and we are happy to work with you and your school in so that you can receive college credit for your work with us! Contact our program manager to learn more.
Stipends for high-school aged interns are available as funding permits.
