Empower GirlVentures Breakfast Fundraiser
Celebrating 13 years of Outdoor Adventures for Inner Discovery

Thursday, October 29, 2009 | The Palace Hotel, San Francisco

Thank You

for attending the 2009 GirlVentures' Empower Breakfast Fundraiser. We are thrilled to announce that we secured the Dean Witter Foundation Challenge Grant in raising more than $30,000 on the day of the event, exceeding our overall goal of raising $80,000. It is because of supporters like you that GirlVentures can continue to fulfill its mission to empower adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths by exploring self, community, culture and environment through outdoor adventure, creative arts and group experiences.

At GirlVentures, we are committed to providing Bay Area girls with programs that challenge them to cultivate their technical and leadership skills and to empower them to develop and express their strengths. Yesterday, you heard the stories of three inspiring young women who recently participated in GirlVentures' summer and school year programs and how GirlVentures has truly had an impact on their lives. GirlVentures will continue to play a pivotal role in the lives of thousands of adolescent girls across the Bay Area. But to do this, we need your continued help!

If you made a donation at the Breakfast, THANK YOU!
If you would like to, there's still time to make a gift now.

And if you want more, please consider volunteering your time with GirlVentures as a mentor, advisor, fundraiser, or board member. We are always looking to expand our community to include more advocates, supporters, and volunteers. For information about how to get involved, please e-mail us at volunteer@girlventures.org.

Thank you for another fabulous Breakfast! We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Bekker & Evonne Silva, 2009 Empower Breakfast Fundraiser Co-Chairs
on behalf of the GirlVentures Board of Directors and Staff
