Some tips: Wool is a longtime favorite of campers because it keeps you warm even when it’s wet.  Synthetic fabrics such as fleece, polar fleece, capiline, and polypropylene are also great for the outdoors.  Cotton t-shirts are O.K., but in general, cotton is not ok for camping because it takes a long time to dry, and it won’t keep you warm when it’s wet.  Bring loose fitting, comfortable clothes, and remember, they will get dirty!  Please do not bring platform shoes, platform boots, or workboots; they are not suitable for hiking.
