Project Courage August
Course Start:
Sunday, August 9
Please plan on meeting on the second floor of The Women's Building (in the Audre Lorde room). Parents/Guardians should plan on staying for one hour to participate in the opening circle, to meet the instructors, and to say good-bye to the girls. After saying goodbye, parents/guardians should proceed to the fourth floor to meet with the Course Director.
Please remember to leave enough time to find parking, as it can be difficult in this neighborhood.
- 8:45am - 9:00am - Arrive. Please be on time.
- 9:00am - 10:00am - Welcome/Course Start/Opening Circle
- 10:00am - 10:30am - Course Director Meeting
Course End:
Saturday, August 22, 2:00pm
Parents and guardians should plan on meeting at the GirlVentures office on the fourth floor of The Women's Buildilng for a one-hour meeting with the Course Director. The intent of this meeting is to discuss methods to continue to support your daughter following the return from her Project Courage or Transitions course. The Course Director will give you an idea of the girls' experience and discuss their re-entry. You will also receive a reading list and have an opportunity to engage in a lively, group discussion.
Following the briefing, there will be a graduation/closing ceremony held from 3:00 - 4:00pm on the second floor of The Women's Building (in the Audre Lorde room).
