Join a GirlVentures Steering Committee!

 

Do you have experience in public relations or event planning? We are seeking Steering Committee members to help plan and promote the following events:

Throughout the summer and fall, we recruit steering committee members to help with the following event:

• Empower GirlVentures Breakfast Fundraiser
  Do you have the ability to motivate a group of your friends or colleagues to put their money to good use by empowering adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths? Are you a graphic designer with the desire to support girls in the Bay Area? Do you have public relations skills you are just waiting to put to use to help a local nonprofit? Do you get excited about putting the finishing touches on large-scale events? If so, you could be a perfect volunteer for our eighth annual Empower GirlVentures Breakfast FundraiserSteering Committee . This year the event, which engages our community and supporters to hear GirlVentures alumnae speak their voices of courage will be held in the Grand Ballroom at The Palace Hotel on October 16, 2008. If you have any of the talents listed above we could use your help!

During the winter and spring, we begin to actively involve volunteers who would like to contribute their talents to this event:

• Hike For GirlVentures Fundraiser
  Do you have experience with event planning? Are you a marketing or fundraising guru? Do you want to learn more about GirlVentures? Then it's time to join the 2009 Hike for GirlVentures Steering Committee to help plan, publicize, recruit and/or manage teams for and oversee this highly successful and fun hiking event. Commitment includes attending one to two meetings per month leading up to the event in early May. Time commitment outside of meetings is dependent on your availability.
