Explore Outside!

Fall 2025

Our school-year weekend program is designed for girls and gender non-conforming youth in Middle School and High School. Youth learn to sea kayak, exploring the waters of San Francisco and Tomales Bay, and hike through Point Reyes National Seashore with trained Naturalists to study local ecology and environmental impacts. All field trips are lead by trained GirlVentures Instructors. In Fall 2025, we’re shifting this a little to allow for more flexibility for participants to connect. Youth can sign up for one date or all five! *Note: Depending upon family interest and weather conditions, an overnight camping trip may be offered November 22-23.

Program Dates:

Saturdays: November 8 and November 22

Sundays: November 16, 23, and December 7th

9:00am-5:00pm (Times may vary depending on the activities scheduled that day.)

Please review the Course Description for a detailed itinerary and information regarding transportation to/from program sites. Participants will be contacted about meeting locations before their selected dates.

Program Costs

We offer a range of sliding scale options to ensure that financial hardship is not a barrier to participation. When you apply, you will asked to indicate your household income and to pay within a trust based sliding scale. These course fees contribute to our basic programs costs. We ask that families self-assess their circumstances and pay what they can. Please review our Payment Policy before applying, and please contact keri@girlventures.org for needs outside of these options, including payment plans.

Fall options range between $50 and $500 for the sessions.
